City mom, country mom. 3 mommas making the best of life after the heartbreak of SIDS. I am extremely thankful for our two year old little boy. He came into our lives and brightened everything back up. When he is all grown up, I intend to look him in the eye and explain all of this. and to tell him that God patched our hearts up with love for our little baby boy. I am incredibly thankful for the two children I have here on Earth, and thankful, but longing- for the one I have in Heaven.

It's hard to believe just how many people this unexplainable tragedy happens to. I was curious about the numbers, so I googled the facts. Since 1983, the rate of SIDS. Has fallen by over 50 percent. It's hard to wrap my mind around that, I can't believe it's been that long. I find myself wondering what she would have looked like, and how close she would have been to her big sister. Thursday, March 29, 2012. I wanted to pop in and update everyone on my support group. Last weekend I attended a 3 day workshop in St. Louis and am now a trained SHARE bereavement coordinator! I meet with the hospital in two weeks and then it will be official! I do feel God is providing me with direction with this and I know this is what I was meant to do! Monday, September 2, 2013. As most of you already know Brennan Walter Himes arrived on August 21st at 1:26pm weighing in at 7 lbs. 12 oz 21 in long! I was suppose to go in on Tuesday August 20th for induction at midnight, but went into labor on my own.sorta that evening. I am not sure I could be any happier right now. Monday, November 21, 2011. Sunday, November 20th was a very special day for us. We stood up in front of the church and promised to raise SaraKate in the church and teach her about God. It was so special to me to have all of our family up there (minus my two sister's and their families) It was a GREAT day! I could feel God's presence with us that day for sure! The balloon release idea came from one of my online friends, Carrie, who did one in memory of her daughter.
