Lady's running Adventures: 20070605
http://runlady.blogspot.com/2007/06/20070605.html
I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. Morning run, 5.73km ( 500 or so meters while the gps got a lock), 00:45:19. Very slow, but I can feel that I am getting into a good rhythm, once I get my rhythm should start improving quickly. Had that funny period-pain thing at the start, but as usual it went away after the first 20 mins. It is funny to get up in the morning when it is so dark. Saw Pat's group while I was out too. They went over the Goodwill bridge then along southbank. Posted by runlady @ 07:31.

RunDave's Blog: Great half, at a cost
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/05/great-half-at-cost.html
Monday, May 28, 2007. Great half, at a cost. So I've been gone for a while, sorry about that. Even more amazing is the time that Carly got. Last year she ran a half in 2:23. Yesterday she ran it in 1:51, a 32 minute improvement! She has really worked hard on her running and weight this year, and it has certainly paid off. Good to see you are still with us :-). Well done on the half, that's a pretty zippy time. And congrats to Carly too. Wow, that is amazing - over 1 minute per km faster! Supple - part 2.

Lady's running Adventures: June 2006

I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. Porcupine Gorge Challenge report. The Porcupine Gorge Challenge is an annual run at Porcupine Gorge (funny that) which is about an hours drive north of Hughenden, which is 4 hours drive west of Townsville. The gorge is formed by Porcupine creek. The run starts in the gorge, runs up the gorge (the direction changes from year-to-year), U-turn to the start, then up and out of the gorge on a steep track. I'm a pro now! Posted by runlady @ 18:37. Executive summary: T...

RunDave's Blog: Trailblazer 2008 race report
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2008/10/trailblazer-2008-race-report.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Trailblazer 2008 race report. Trailblazer report copied from Coolrunning post. The race started, and after a mad rush by a few teams, who by the look of their attire weren't going to be running for long, we settled into 5 min/km pace which we basically banged out consistently all the way to checkpoint 1, getting there in 1:35. I changed my shoes from road runners to trail runners there, then we set off up Amber's Gully. I only ended up having one recovery drink (read beer) strai...

RunDave's Blog: Longest run out of the way
http://rundave.blogspot.com/2007/06/longest-run-out-of-way.html
Monday, June 11, 2007. Longest run out of the way. Wow, I didn't realise you were doing Pichi Richi. Its the same day as the GC isn't it? Its one I've always wanted to do just so I could say Pichi Richi - it sounds so cool :-). Have a crack at the sub-3 Dave. Never know, you could 'do an Eagle'. I suppose you won't be pacing me in Adelaide this year then. Just think, if you do a sub-3, you'll be having your coffee by the time I finish! My bloglines must have missed your comeback dave! Word to be confirmed.

Lady's running Adventures: Back again...
http://runlady.blogspot.com/2008/07/back-again.html
I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. OK so it's nearly been a year since my last post. whoops. BTW my weight is down to 65kg, probably from a bit of running and not pigging out for a few months. So I am not concerned with that anymore and now I just want to keep fit. Posted by runlady @ 10:58. Lady's running Adventures: April 2006
http://runlady.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. I got my Enell. Bra on Tuesday and have gone on two runs (total of about 12k) in it so far. So far I think it's fantastic, it really holds it in good. I just ordered two more. Report coming soon. I like it so much I am going to break the golden rule of marathoning of using un-tested (or inadequetely tested) equipment and am going to wear it on Sunday - with half a stick of bodyglide. Posted by runlady @ 20:56. It seems highly unpredictable, who knows. Recovery r...

Lady's running Adventures: Taping boobs with duct tape
http://runlady.blogspot.com/2008/07/taping-boobs-with-duct-tape.html
I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. Taping boobs with duct tape. Problem: Normal sports bra just doesn't do it for you support-wise. Or perhaps they just don't make them in your size. You could try an Enell bra which are very good, but here is an alternative if that is not available. In Australia it is PVC tape without the cloth backing. It is generally water resistant, flexible, heavy duty so it should hold if you sweat a lot. Duct tape (available from the hardware store). If you find it too tigh...

Tuggeranong Runner: Motivation - a love story Part 2
http://tuggrunner.blogspot.com/2007/07/motivation-love-story-part-2.html
Friday, July 20, 2007. Motivation - a love story Part 2. Oh, damn", I thought, suddenly amazed at my ability to speak in tongues. My high school English teacher would be proud. The love of my life, Motivation, had disappeared in the trance of time. Some might say she wasn't mine alone. I know men are from Mars and women are from god-knows-where but THIS was ridiculous! Where had she gone? It is a bit like that for runners, too, missing their motivation. So often in running and in life all the world's...

Tuggeranong Runner: March 2007
http://tuggrunner.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 28, 2007. I am just back from my latest work trip, this time to South Korea. No more work trips planned for some weeks, which is a real relief. Next stop: Boston - Monday 16 April! I leave for Boston in two weeks on 12 April, flying Qantas to LA and then American Airlines to Boston. Accommodation in Boston is heavily booked and I could only get some place out in the boondocks. But to be there - yo baby! Thursday, March 15, 2007. There's a logic (which is one way of putting it! I first vi...
