Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain: Day 1 in Barcelona
http://coacheddieinbarcaspain.blogspot.com/2008/12/day-1-in-barcelona.html
Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Sunday, December 7, 2008. Day 1 in Barcelona. Well, we're here. We arrived in Barcelona about 8:15 am Sunday morning. The flight was OK. We saw a few movies (Journey to the Center of the Earth) on the flight. Got about whole 5 minutes of sleep so I'm pretty beat today. When we got to our hotel we walked over to Camp Nou and looked around the facilities. The town looks pretty old as does the stadium and the grounds. The town reminds me a bit like Portland.

Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. We watched the 15 year olds play at Ciudad Deportivo today after our morning training session. Later that evening we went w/ Mazinho and Cicinho to the Barcelona Beach Club and had a Brazilian feast. It was great. Cicinho told us stories of how Ronaldinho and Deco used to hang out there and party until 6 in the morning. On the way back home Greg, Josh and I help Oscar w/ English lessons. http://coacheddieinbarcaspain.blogspot.com/2008/12/thursday.html
Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Thursday, December 11, 2008. Today we actually got to watch the 1st team Barca boys practice. They walked right by us and said hello. We saw Victor Valdez (who has a striking resemblance to Josh, coincidence? A couple of other interesting ideas:. There is no specific fitness work under the age of 14 (all fitness is done w/ the ball). After training - never do stretching. After easy session - static stretching. Warm up is dynamic stretching. The escola that Oscar tea...

Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Saturday and the Big Game. Haha Oscar mentioned that parents are not allowed to tell the coaches anything at all about their children (where they should play, playing time, etc.), otherwise they do not play with FCB. Definitely an experience I will never forget. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Coach Greg in Spain. Coach Josh in Spain. View my complete profile. Saturday and the Big Game. Day 1 in Barcelona.

Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Wednesday, December 10, 2008. The Wednesday morning session focused on the tactical components of FCB training. Here are a few highlights:. FCB philosophy - always play to win by playing nice. Coaching philosophy - where players leaern, develop and understand the game by using their own creativity. Education - human values, fair play. After eating dinner at the hotel restaurant, Manny, Greg and I went out on the town with the Barca boys from Cali; Paul, Brian, Jose and Yossi. Those guys are crazy! Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain: Soccer ideas
http://coacheddieinbarcaspain.blogspot.com/2008/12/soccer-ideas.html
Coach Eddie's Trip to Barcelona Spain. Monday, December 8, 2008. A couple of ideas we talked about the first few days:. Invitation from rec to academy and from academy to competitive. Having certain pre-reqs before trying out with our competitive like: player can do a certain number of juggles. Yossi mentioned that in Israel every kid could juggle, even the ones who weren't players - you learned it on the playgrounds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Coach Greg in Spain.
