Adventures with a knife: Pluck a duck, butcher a chicken

http://www.cookingdivatrips.blogspot.com/2011/03/pluck-duck-butcher-chicken.html

Adventures with a knife. Monday, March 21, 2011. Pluck a duck, butcher a chicken. Anyway, so after all this practise I decided two things. First, why the use of the word fabricate when all I am really doing is butchering. Second, why not just BUY the chicken fabricated in the first place! These are my thoughts on this weeks culinary lesson.Sorry if you didn't find it that thrilling. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pluck a duck, butcher a chicken. A most Egg-cellent day.

Adventures with a knife: I've been roasted before...

http://www.cookingdivatrips.blogspot.com/2011/04/ive-been-roasted-before.html

Adventures with a knife. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. I've been roasted before. What makes this even worse is I feel so, not lost but at a stand-still and I don't know which way to go.this was my fear at the beginning of the semester that I would not be able to decide and now that I am here I felt like I should have given more time to contemplate my next move. Who am I kidding here? Dwell on this question for the rest of this little blog of mine and then I will rock your world! Can you handle the TRUTH?

Adventures with a knife: Momma taught me right???

http://www.cookingdivatrips.blogspot.com/2011/04/momma-taught-me-right.html

Adventures with a knife. Monday, April 4, 2011. Momma taught me right? Today was the long awaited baking food lab. I have been excited about this lab since day one of class. Why? Your muffins which will lead to a serious offense called tunnelling. Tunnelling is the big tunnels that you get in store-bought-way-too-huge muffins they also cause the muffins to get a peak in the middle of them. As Chef put it the only muffins that should have holes in them need to have the word "English" infront.

Adventures with a knife. Monday, February 21, 2011. The Cat, the laddle, and oddly enough there was a silver spoon. So this week I promised you soup advice. After class this morning I really wish that I could give you something profound and life altering but alas. I fall flat. I find it interesting that no matter what you do in life you will encounter 3 different types of people: The "I am the only star in the heavens" kind, the "I won't take any kind of responsibility" kind, and the "Heck yes! That expla...

Cooking Diva Darling

Monday, August 29, 2011. Well, my little sister invited us over for dinner tonight and I didn't want to go empty handed. I ended up making a few pies because we're a little short on groceries in the house and this was all I could throw together. Mind you, I made these up on the fly, but they got great reviews from the family. :). Both pies use the same type of graham crackercrust:. 1 c graham crackers. 1/3 cup brown sugar (white sugar can be used, but the crust is more crumbly). 1 small box orange Jell-O.
