It all started here. Palau has some of the most spectacular coral diversity and density in the world. Jacques Cousteau even named the “Blue Corner dive” in Palau the best dive in the world. In February 2014, we traveled to Palau to work with Dr. Patrick Colin and Laurie Colin of the Coral Reef Research Foundation. For two weeks we experimented and developed our methodology of capturing corals using a camera and Autodesk 3D software, Reality Capture. This is what we produced:.
