http://lifeatsylvanhouse.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 December 2014. Well, a white Boxing Day anyway, that was good enough for us! It started snowing on Boxing Day afternoon and yesterday (Saturday) started bright and crisp. The children played outside in the snow and I took some photos. There was one member of the household who was not excited one little bit by the snow. I'd like to say a big thank you to all of you that visit me here and wish you all a very happy and peaceful New Year. Links to this post. Tuesday, 23 December 2014. It was still...

Nobody was keen to go out in the rain, so I got some blackberries out of the freezer instead. 12 slices brioche buttered and cut into triangles. 2 tbsp caster sugar. 1 drop rose water. Tin evaporated milk 410g. Links to this post. Summe...

Saturday, 28 June 2014. Reasons to be Cheerful. During the week whilst in the supermarket, I struck up a conversation with a lady in the checkout queue. She remarked that she'd spotted me busily crossing things off my list and I replied that I like to be organised with having a busy life and three primary school aged children. She said her children had grown up and left home and "enjoy it while it lasts, dear.". 3 A delightful sunny morning walk with three lovely friends. Round the reservoir and a sc...
