Culinisation: No.52 - Denmark - One Great Dane-ish!

http://www.culinisation.blogspot.com/2013/08/no52-denmark-one-great-dane-ish.html

Thursday, 8 August 2013. No52 - Denmark - One Great Dane-ish! The plural of danish is danishes. Danish which is of course origionally an adjective (Danish) does not have a plural form . No such thing. When you turn the word 'danish' into a noun it become ‘danishes’ and this is perfectly correct. Something to think about next time you go for a danish and then fancy another danish. Ironically the double danish dilemma is not relevant today. This recipe makes one great dane-ish! 3 tablespoons of sugar.

Culinisation: No. 54 - Dominica - Mountain Chicken - It's not easy being green!

http://www.culinisation.blogspot.com/2015/03/no-54-dominica-mountain-chicken-its-not.html

Saturday, 7 March 2015. No 54 - Dominica - Mountain Chicken - It's not easy being green! It has certainly been a while since my last post but we are in it for both a good time AND a long time. Since then, I have found a new job that I love, with the help of my family I have landed a great new house (with a fabulous kitchen designed by yours truly) and a beautiful puppy called Penny. Not to mention two wonderful house mates. Needless to say I have held on to my boyfriend. 1 kg frozen frogs legs. Deep fry ...

Culinisation: No. 31 - Burkina Faso Sleep!

http://www.culinisation.blogspot.com/2011/11/no-31-burkina-faso-sleep.html

Sunday, 13 November 2011. No 31 - Burkina Faso Sleep! Aka chicken and rice. A humble side dish maybe, but I simply did not have the cognitive skills to achieve anything more accomplished. Even still, I left out a vital ingredient and lost and my camera in the spices drawer. I remember better, the next day having riz gras for breakfast, lunch and dinner asian style, dashed with soya and sweet chili sauce. The perfect hangover food. Trice. 6 chicken breasts, cut into cubes. 1 vegetable stock cube. What a q...

Saturday, 25 May 2013. No 49 - Cuba - It's Cubi-on Sandwich! Unless it’s a rant about Eurovision. You want (of which I have much to rant about, none of which is anything you don’t already know (funny eyebrows, dubstep), nor has anything to do with food or Cuba) this post is about a bloody big cheese and ham sandwich (and mojoitos). I’m sure you can do much better. Loaf of Cuban bread. Make a sandwich. Best recipe ever. Tuesday, 21 May 2013. No 48 - Croatia - Povitica - 2 Cups 1 Girl. Maybe this is 500ml?

A Mystical Journey Into The Dark: Atop Cerro Negro

http://dermohurley.blogspot.com/2012/10/atop-cerro-negro.html

A Mystical Journey Into The Dark. Absolutely no continuity between subject matter of posts, some poetry, songs and real-life stories, but mostly musings on various things that interest me. Monday, October 15, 2012. The yawning crater feels open and deep,. With an aching blue sky. Atop walls so steep. We stand at the base and marvel at the size. Nature’s destructive beauty. Laid bare before our eyes. My hiking boot blisters my heel as I run,. And my bare shoulders too. Blister in the sun. No 56 - East Tim...

A Mystical Journey Into The Dark. Absolutely no continuity between subject matter of posts, some poetry, songs and real-life stories, but mostly musings on various things that interest me. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Beside the whitewashed stone shed in the home place, Co. Donegal. Looking across the bay to Clare. Down by the Plassey wreck, best known from the opening credits of 'Father Ted'. Looking west towards America. Leaning on a hedge in 'the street', Bruckless Co. Donegal. My favourite colour is purple.

A Mystical Journey Into The Dark. Absolutely no continuity between subject matter of posts, some poetry, songs and real-life stories, but mostly musings on various things that interest me. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. When you've happened to lose. That thing you most need. There's only one man. Who can help you indeed. He doesn't ask much. Whatever you can give. And he'll always be there. For as long as you live. So say it three times. And mean it as well! His name is St. Anthony. Mind how ye go.

A Mystical Journey Into The Dark. Absolutely no continuity between subject matter of posts, some poetry, songs and real-life stories, but mostly musings on various things that interest me. Saturday, July 27, 2013. The yellowed corpses of flowers droop. Their heads towards the rain. Like giraffes trying to drink. But they'll never drink again. The shrivelled soil in their pots points to their decay. Our neglect, like fathers or uncles, while a mother is away. Who can't (or don't) keep their child. Thanks ...
