Sunday, November 29, 2009. At the Jingle Cross Rock in Iowa City it was really exciting to see the support for Nebraska riders, even across team lines. It was encouraging to hear a cheer from the crowd or help in the pits from other Nebraska cyclocross competitors. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Fred on the rampage again! This was from the OMaha World Herald. Fred is on his way back. More to follow. Super impressive showing again! Duathlon: Omahan 3rd at nationals. RICHMOND, Va. — Omahan Fred Galata placed third at the U.S. National Duathlon Championships for ages 55 to 59 Sunday. A record turnout of 1,800 competed Sunday, including 53 in Galata’s age group.
