It's mostly bike related. Saturday, May 24, 2008. Creme Puff" has arrived. The touring bike finally arrived on Friday. I did not have time to play with it on Friday or Saturday morning as I attended the feeding frenzy bike ride to HuHot on Friday night and the coffee and donut ride on Saturday morning. I'm glad I did it because I need to get some consecutive long miles in. I wasted about 40 minutes Saturday morning, still in panic mode, because I could not find my prescription riding glasses. Not much mileage, but it is better than not riding at all, says I. The NiteRider Mako headlight with its seizure-inducing strobe is at least as bright as the Malibu halogen 25 watt lamp I've been using for many years, although I'm sure the battery life of my five-pound gell cell was a bit longer. Sunday, November 30, 2014. Is fair play, so the bike content is here today, and so is the geocaching. I hauled the bike out to The Ted bike path again today, but parking at the Albertson's off of Camino Del Sur. Because there is a geocache there. And learned that if one is going to use the phone app for geocaching, one really ought to bring the phone along on the trip. Found the cache anyway, because I totally rock. And it was an LPC hide. It's nice to have some bike facility balance on that street. The one sided bike lane never made sense to me. There are lots of other bike facilities out there now. Dakota and Main Ave downtown have sharrows between 12th? 41st east from Southeasten has full and proper bike lanes out to Harmoden Park. How about them apples!
