Mommy Belle: LHFHG - Unit 17, Day 3 (Math)
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2013/06/lhfhg-unit-17-day-4-math.html
Thursday, June 13, 2013. LHFHG - Unit 17, Day 3 (Math). We've had a rough start to homeschooling. I innocently overbooked us during Annabelle's Kindergarten year.all in the interest of socialization! I let the world tell me what is important instead of seeking answers from God. I have vowed that next year will be different, and I strongly feel that God has led me to make these changes. And I thought it turned out pretty cute myself. I used Jif peanut butter lids (red) and milk lids (colored centers) with...

Mommy Belle: March 2012
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 17, 2012. LHTH Unit 4 - Isaac and His Sons. I finally feel like we are in a routine! I know, it has only taken me months to figure this out! The peace I feel with this curriculum is absolutely amazing. I had my mind set on using Heart of Dakota. For Annabelle's Pre-K year only, and then I planned to switch to My Father's World. In the Fall 2012 for her Kindergarten year. I originally wanted to use My Father's World. When we first started using the Little Hands to Heaven. Remembered more a...

Mommy Belle: January 2012
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 28, 2012. I have never seen the energy level of a child escalate at bedtime as much as my Annabelle. Granted, I haven't been around that many children at bedtime, but the girl seems to get ants in her pants every evening right around 7 pm The jumping on the bed only occurs every night after 7 pm Literally. I made her these awesome chore cards. I got this fantastic idea from Our Family for His Glory. I did finally find them this evening, and I'm not really sure who was the true culprit&#...

Mommy Belle: LHFHG - Unit 5
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2012/09/lhfhg-unit-5.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. LHFHG - Unit 5. This curriculum just keeps getting better! Yes it has been almost a month since we started back in Unit 4 of LHFHG, but we've definitely been enjoying our journey! In late August/early September we ventured into potty training for Sophia (which was very successful I might add), camping and the beginning of our extracurricular activities. But, we're still weird! Not unsocialized, but definitely still weird! And, yes, we even ate them! Little Hearts for His Glory.

http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2012. LHFHG Unit 1 - Continued. I'm posting this entry almost two months later! It is amazing how much I forget if I don't post something immediately. And I even had plenty of pictures to help jog my memory! Annabelle, you are a handful my dear! It was after today's lesson, Unit 1 - Day 4, that I posted an entry on the Heart of Dakota forum titled "Dawdling Child Drags out Lessons" to seek advice from more experienced homeschooling moms. Little Hearts for His Glory. Half-speed with Ann...

Mommy Belle: January 2015
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 30, 2015. It has been way too long since I blogged! This used to be my outlet. I LOVED blogging! I LOVED preserving the memories! Blogging helped me see the joy in the every day as a stay-at-home mom. But I think the past two years just got the best of me.pregnancy, morning sickness, searching for a new home, packing and moving (while pregnant I might add), my first cesarean birth, post-partum blues that lasted way too long the third time around, a baby that. I miss living small! I am bey...

Mommy Belle: November 2011
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 22, 2011. An American Girl Christmas. Apparently, when your daughter reaches the ripe old age of 5 years, someone in the system miraculously knows she turned 5 and begins to send American Girl catalogs. I just want to know who sold Annabelle's birthday and address to American Girl? And as for any other Christmas wishes, "I'm going to let Santa decide on the rest." She stated this as she finished gluing the pictures of her wants to her "Dear Santa" letter. 1 Snowshoe Set $28. And by the ...

Mommy Belle: Corduroy
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2013/03/corduroy.html
Friday, March 1, 2013. I haven't blogged in months! I'm not sure why as it brings me much joy to share our journey with others, especially to encourage those who feel that God has led them to homeschool. I am really loving Heart of Dakota. And I want to share it with everyone I know though I know curriculum choices have to fit the family personally. Right now, Sophia's favorite books are Corduroy. And A Pocket for Corduroy. By Don Freeman. I remember loving Corduroy. Eskimo kisses are not allowed! She te...

Mommy Belle: August 2012
http://mommybelle.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 14, 2012. LHFHG - Unit 4. We kicked off Unit 4 today. We studied Joseph being sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers. The girls used paper plates and paint to design their very own Egyptian collars. Here they are sporting their Egyptian collars for Daddy when he arrived home! These girls sure do love each other! Annabelle adorned hers with jewels. During our storytime lesson in The Adventures of Reddy Fox. Isn't it amazing the things a 5 year old can figure out through logic?
