Ship Day!: danapaynter

It was a rough ship day for Dana. At first they were only going to let her ship as an E-2, but after a very long morning, she left as an E-3! However, and also at the last moment, she was told she wasn't going to Ft. Leonard Wood but to Ft. Jackson in South Carolina! So, stay tuned for more info when we get that first letter from her. September 17, 2003 (0324). It's kind of crazy that the only times I get to do any letters is during fire guard, and I don't even know it that's allowed. Oh well. Things are going okay over here. DS Kramer put me together with Medley and Lukes as battle buddies. Lukes I can handle but Medley gets dropped all of the time for silly things. October 21, 2003. Well, yesterday we got our Class A’s! We spent the entire day back at the reception area getting the items, fitting into them, getting them hemmed, having rank sewn on, and being inspected. Regular Army had four inspections:. 1) dress shoes, hat, short sleeved shirt, pants, with belt. 2) dress shoes, same short sleeved shirt, 2nd pair of pants. 3) dress shoes, long sleeved shirt, skirt. 4) dress shoes, same long sleeved shirt, 2nd skirt, class A jacket and black jacket.
