Thursday, March 31, 2011. Caesarea was built as part of Herod the Great's ambitious plan to "Hellenise" the Holy Land in the 1st century BCE. He chose the site of a small Phoenician port called Stratton's Tower and laid out a classical Greek city, complete with amphitheatre and stadium. A few falls and slips, Ava cut her finger with her skate when she fell, but got back on the ice like a champ. We skated until the end of free skate time and saw the Zambonie at work. We went and ate in Canada (one of the countries) and while we were there Andrew took off his sunglasses and told us that he was going to go snorkeling.
