In April, we escaped the drudgery of DC to drive down to Kitty Hawk, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We packed up the dog and shacked up in a two-person bungalow, where we watched it rain, took walks on the beach, visited the sand dunes, played dominoes, and cooked a few delicious meals.
