NEVADA GOLD STAR FAMILIES. Nevada Gold Star Families was formed in September 2009 to honor our fallen heroes and to support the families they have left behind. It is our goal to support Gold Star Families from the time of their notification through the ensuing years. Support for Gold Star Moms, Dads, siblings and spouses includes sharing of stories, photos, and experiences. Life after receiving “the folded flag” is never easy, and is different for every family. 2013 Gold Star Events. 4th of July Parade.
