Cadenas d'amour at the Jardin des Plantes de Toulouse. Kit, prefab, modular. As the daughter of a carpenter, I feel traitorous even admitting this, but I think prefab homes are brilliant. Chalk it up to my laziness. Or perhaps design and construction fatigue - we are finally seeing the light at the end of building an apartment complex. Both are probably at the root of my fascination with all things prefabricated, home-modular. So far, my favorite purveyor of prefab homes is Blu Homes,. Cool lid, L.L.

Dimanche 14 décembre 2008. Our last trip was down to Cassis, which is on the Mediterranean 20 km from Marseilles, the weekend of the 6th of December. It was lovely to have some sunshine and warmer weather. Although this photo doesnt really do it justice, the houses were painted bright shades of yellow and pink. The main part of Cassis surrounds a harbor, and the buildings on the water are mostly restaurants. It also had a small and rocky beach, where some people were actually swimming. Frog with a blog.

Mardi 22 janvier 2008. A group of my coworkers were going to Porto this weekend so I went along. Here are some photos. Here is the main square, La Praça da Liberdade. The birth story, 1 year later. When I started having contractions a year ago I thought it was indigestion. It was 9pm on December 5. As uncomfortable as the end of the pregnancy was, labor was going to be even more uncomfortable. And I wasn’t sure I was ready to go through it yet. We decided to go to bed and try to get some rest. This photo was taken at 7:30am at the park yesterday. The girls woke us up at 3am and refused to go back to sleep, despite our many attempts. By the time we got to the park we'd already eaten breakfast, stopped for coffee and croissants (Stella must be going through another growth spurt because she is eating every 30 minutes) in the city, and dropped Jordan off at work. This morning they woke up at 3:40am. I managed to get Djuna back to sleep, but Stella and I were up eating breakfast again at 4:30am.
