Hearthbeat combines multiple Rubens’ tubes to show a flaming oscilloscope across many frequency bands simultaneously. Viewers can interact with the standing wave simulator by creating audio on a synthesizer or talking into a microphone embedded in a control center. The project was funded by Figment First Night and was shown for the first time on new years eve 2013.
