Throughout the year we organise a variety of events including guided walks, work parties and group activities. On rare occasions there may be a late change to the plan. You can always contact. Denso Marston Nature Reserve : Location

The reserve is open all year round to visitors. Access to the reserve is available down the footpath, which leads from Otley Road opposite St James Church, or along the riverside footpath from Shipley and Esholt. There is much more to see in the surrounding area including Esholt village of Emmerdale fame. The historic Saltaire village which has world heritage status. The reserve is situated in the Aire Valley along side the river Aire below Baildon village, North Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Friday, 18 November 2016. On this Day 16 November 2016. Popped down to Denso hopping to find the Hairy Snail, I had photographed on Saturday. It's the first time I've seen this snail and wanted to get a better photo. I did find some small Hairy Snails, but due to the weather and dark light I'm still not happy with the sots. I had a root through the leaf litter and came across many insects hibernating , I need to find a way of getting a better photo. Blunt-tailed Snake Millipede - Cylindroiulus punctatus.

Some of the boards were new and Steve was interested in seeing if anything had moved in. On the way round, birds and berries were noted. Welcome to the Friends of Denso Marston Nature Reserve website. The seven acre reserve is situated between the River Aire and the Denso Marston factory in Shipley, West Yorkshire. Created in 1990 on Denso Marston washland for the benefit of wildlife, community enjoyment and education. An urban haven of woodland, meadows and pools with varied wildlife complement the other green areas in the wildlife rich Aire valley. We run a variety of group events and short courses.
