I wake up from mine feeling like I'm leaving the movie theatre without seeing the last five minutes, because dreams never have a proper ending, do they? My first reaction is to try to dredge every last scrap from the recall bin, as I make my way down the hallway to the bathroom. What happened after the house fell down the cliff? Who was that person in the three story car? Where was the last scene? But, it doesn't work like that. It's like r...

Hyphens and the like. July 21, 2016. July 21, 2016. Like most other writers, I rely on the keyboard to tell me what I am supposed to type. If it is not there, I don’t use it. Out of sight, out of mind, right? But there are instances where the “rules” of punctuation are not clear and it behooves us, as writers, to do a little digging in order to better understand those rules before we release out work. I realize that most readers would not know the difference in uses between. Ex: To get my book written th...

“Monthlies” | Petra's Hope
https://petrashope.wordpress.com/2016/07/17/monthlies
July 17, 2016. I really like shock appeal, huh? Today I would like to take just a few minutes to address another component in your Bullet Journal – the monthly calendar. In the Bullet Journal community, these are called monthlies. So, again, as with everything that I have stated before, the calendar is done to what works for you. It might take a few different tries, but you will eventually find your niche. So, what do you think? It is your turn now. Show me what you are working on! 8220;Dance and Be Glad...

8220;Time Trap” by Danele Rotharmel. October 16, 2016. Time Trap Kick-Off Package. To purchase your copy. Click picture to purchase. Once again, I am amazed and confounded at the creativity and imagination Danele Rotharmel possesses. I am always wary of series books, because it just seems like the first book is always the best. But I should not have worried at all. “Time Trap” is out-of-this-time-and-space incredible. When her illness became even more severe, she was put into quarantine and could only ta...

Keeping it Humble | Petra's Hope
https://petrashope.wordpress.com/2017/01/10/keeping-it-humble
January 10, 2017. It has been a rough couple of weeks – on all fronts. Emotionally speaking, I have a LOT of stress. It is okay, though, because I know the Lord is in control. I am choosing to draw near to Him in these tough times. It is not easy to walk this life sometimes, but I know He is sovereign and will bring me through to the other side. And the REAL HUMBLING part of the last few weeks…. Man, am I. I have been reevaluating my choices. Do I want to edit? Is it too difficult? Is my writing THAT bad?

8220;How to Make Victoria Sponge” by Margaret Kazmierczak. October 10, 2016. October 10, 2016. To purchase your copy. Victoria Sponge a well-known cake? This book is probably one of the most uniquely-written books I have ever read. It reads almost like an autobiography of a woman who lives a prayerful life. I received this book for free. A favorable review was not required and all views expressed are my own. Guest Post from Margaret Kazmierczak. For those that know me cooking is not a talent that I am fa...
