This is an amazing location! We are sitting on the dunes overlooking the main beach of Ocean Grove. There is a world class view sweeping out to sea. Look west and you gaze at the Barwon Heads bluff and around to the Great Ocean Road;. Look east along the crescent of the beach to the Point Lonsdale lighthouse and beyond to Cape Schank. Built in the 1930's, Camp Indiana was a summer residence/ retreat for the Indiana Governor and his family. Secluded from the public on top of Mount Tom, east of the beach pavilion, Camp Indiana served Indiana's Governors until 1965, when because of non-use and neglect it was demolished.
