A lot has happened to the Butlers in the last 10months. I won’t bore you with 50 different updates and 500 photos. Here’s a basic run down…. Dusty graduated from UND with Bachelor of Science in Commercial Aviation. Dusty commissioned as a 2. Lieutenant for the Army. We finally got out of North Dakota. Moved in Dallas in May for the summer.

When I was a kid we painted my room bright yellow with a sunflower trim, and my brothers and sisters still tease me about it today, 14 years later. So when I saw the sunflower fields here in big ND of course I had to take pictures, it was like full filling a childhood fantasy. Thanks Buddy and Connor, we are so SO happy! Sam loooves her Daddy! Yes we found that flower on the ground. Last of all, my favorite.

Monday, September 21, 2009. Yesterday was Eggplant Pasta day! So far, this was the only recipe I was nervous to make because I have never worked with nor made anything using eggplant. My sister-in-law was the first to introduce me to this delicious vegetable, so who better to be our guests of honor than her, my brother and my nephew! We had to do a luncheon instead of dinner b/c Cris works nights, but it worked out PERFECT! OH NO, this was full out eggplant as the pasta, so cool! Stay tuned in 2 weeks-.

Sunday, December 19, 2010. Our minds keep us safe. Then comes my mind to the rescue. pushing away those thoughts and feelings to keep me sane. Is it a blessing or a curse? I don't know yet. Some days it's a relief not to be burdened by the sadness. Some days I wonder, though, if it's really beneficial. I will have to go through all that pain at some point, am I just prolonging it?
