Greener Habits for Raleigh
http://greenerhabitsforraleigh.blogspot.com/2007/10/what-is-this-world-coming-to.html
Monday, October 15, 2007. What is this world coming to. I saw this aberration in the Lowe's parking lot. This is someone's leisurely vehicle. Believe it folks, it is a recreational SEMI! Watch out for your children. Labels: An aberration at Lowes. What the hell damn IS that? Wow that is pretty ridiculous and disgusting! Get Loud, Get Active, Get Angry! I hear they offer this as a Hybrid - boosts the mpg 50% to just over 7mpg. Better in red anyways . . . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Do you still have them? How much are they? Is it too late to buy them once the rain's begun? Greener Habits for Raleigh: July 2007
http://greenerhabitsforraleigh.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 19, 2007. Putting more of Raleigh on the map. Have you seen Sundance Channel's new green forum? And it has a searchable map that points out local businesses with green practices. Clearly this hasn't really caught on in the Raleigh area- there are about 6 stars on our local map, two of which are Whole Foods- but it could be a good reference eventually. It fits in nicely with the GHFR idea of supporting local green business. Now they just need to sign up. Monday, July 9, 2007. Slow Activism ...

30 Day No Trash Challenge: January 2009
http://notrashchallenge.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Been away for awhile. I really stepped away for awhile with this whole blog thing. I admit I got a little caught up with life and really didn't have anything "Trash Free" to post. It is more important now to live simply then just seven months ago when I started this blog. With the uncertainty of the economy everyone seems to be looking for ways to be more frugal. Or as I like to put it "being more mindful of what we consume". Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Meet the Trash Free. In the end...

30 Day No Trash Challenge: May 2008
http://notrashchallenge.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Last Thursday while riding my bike to work I said to myself, "Hey, I wonder if I could not make any trash for one month? At first I thought "Yes! I already recycle, compost my food scraps, drink my tea out of a re-usable mug and bring my lunch to work in tupperware containers. Making no trash was going to be easy! Not so fast, sister. Not as easy as you think. Once I started to look at all of the small things I use everyday, I realized not making trash was going to be harder than I thought. Better make s...

30 Day No Trash Challenge: June 2008
http://notrashchallenge.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Today marks the final day of my challenge. I can not believe it has already been a month! Someone just asked me if I was happy it was over and I blurted out "yes" with out even skipping a beat. I am not happy it is over so I can start being wasteful, I am happy that it is no longer a challenge and I can start to just make it a way of life. The great thing I learned the other day is that you can recycle soft plastics. Plastic bags, food bags and packaging, plastic wrap, etc. Ashley has been following my b...
