Sunday, 29 June 2008. It's been nearly 2 weeks since my last update.its been very very busy down at the beach, with last weekends Folk Festival taking up loads of time and effort. This weekend saw the Den play host to Veteran's Day, which had 4 paratroopers come down. Unfortunately 1 of the 4 came in too fast and plowed into the crowd. Monday, 30 March 2009. Just over 3 weeks to go! So far today it has been one thing after another, after a customer showed my photos of their trip to Machu Pichu, then spoke with another Customer who comes from Peru. Monday, 23 February 2009. Its now just 2 months until I head off to Peru for the Challenge. Suddenly everything is becoming more real and its getting closer. This week is the first week where the training starts getting heavy.no more simple 1 or 2 hour walks. its 4 hour walks for 2 weeks, before going to 6 hours then to 8 hours. Fun! Wednesday, 31 December 2008. New Year = New Challenges. In a few short hours, it will be 2009. The year of the trek! Oh and the new diet starts in a few hours too! Time to finish off those extra Granola bars I got for Xmas! No longer will I be able to say "oh its next year" or hit the alarm clock and have an extra hour in bed!
