Eating Out in Bombay..: Blanca's Alex Leonard cooks at The Table
http://eatingoutinbombay.blogspot.com/2015/07/blancas-alex-leonard-cooks-at-table.html
Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Blanca's Alex Leonard cooks at The Table. Brooklyn's three Michelin starred, Blanca is a hot ticket with a 30 day wait for tables. So when i heard that my current fav restaurant The Table had their Chef De Cuisine down cooking a five course meal, it was a no brainer. Pre Dinner cocktail was an old fashioned, which was brilliant and what i always get there. They also do a killer Margarita and i had a sip of a stunning pineapple martini which is also a must have. Orecchiette with gr...

Thursday, December 28, 2006. Location :ISKON Temple, Babulnath. Company : Gautam, Dr.Bones, UTK, UTS. This is a pretty small place with seating for no more than 35 people and it gets crowded. The staff is mostly hare krishnas and the place does not serve any alcohol, meat, onion or garlic. It was topped off with a bunch of fried papads along with a biryani which was too sticky for my taste and a veggie raita which was slightly on the salty side. Food 8.5/10, Service 8/10. Thursday, September 21, 2006. Rest : Lings Pavilion. Location : Near Regal, Colaba. Experience - Pangs of hunger, a movie showing, decision between China Garden, Royal China and Lings. We chose Lings coz i hadnt been there in YEARs and since it was a quick meal i decided not to go to China Garden which isnt a rush rush place nor Royal China which i wanted to try out and came highly recommended. The service at the restaurant was terrible at best. Drink : Fresh Lime Soda, Pepsi. Damage : 900($20 ). Rating ...

Drinks - Ice tea lemon, ice tea peach. Friday, March 31, 2006. Rating ...

The green peacock: Restaurant review Cholanad
http://thegreenpeacock.blogspot.com/2012/04/restaurant-review-cholanad.html
Monday, April 30, 2012. I went to a new little Indian restaurant for lunch the other day. It's called Cholanad and it is fantastic! I ordered the vegetable kurma and butter naan. It arrived pretty quickly. The plating was nice with modern style dinnerware in pure white. The naan was deeelicious! Thanks for visiting my blog! This is a wonderful way to meet foodies! I see you are in TX, same here. Can you provide the address for the restaurant? May 7, 2012 at 9:36 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
The green peacock: Los Comales y birreria
http://thegreenpeacock.blogspot.com/2012/12/los-comales-y-birreria.html
Thursday, December 6, 2012. Los Comales y birreria. There's this little dive, hole-in-the-wall taqueria type place next to my school which I recently discovered on Yelp called Los Comales. It's off a busy road and if you're not paying attention, you can easily miss it. I ordered 3 bean and lettuce tacos for $1.50 each and a guava agua fresca for $2. I asked the nice lady not to put rice in the tacos and just serve them on the side. Total came to about $6. I will be going back often. Eating out in bombay.

The green peacock: November 2011
http://thegreenpeacock.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 4, 2011. Having lived in Burlington in my childhood is probably the reason for my unnatural affinity towards one of my favorite microbreweries. Enter, Magic Hat of Burlington, VT. Besides the delicious offerings, they are a humorous bunch over there. They always has the most awesome bottle top sayings. I love Magic Hat #9 of course, but I really dig Circus Boy and Winter Howl. The summer variety, Wacko is really excellent too! If any of you work there, I would be willing to do a review!

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Chinese style sauteed snap peas. Here is a very quick Chinese style sauteed snap peas. I picked up a package of these from an Asian store and all I had to do was give them a quick rinse, string them and break up the larger pieces in half. I first blanched them for 2 minutes in boiling water and then rinsed them in cold water to preserve the springy green color. Monday, May 23, 2011. Thursday, May 19, 2011. So much for the carbs lol. End result was so good! I used a 7 Grain bread ...

Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Linda's black bean burger and sweet potato tots. I just went to Linda's on Franklin St. for a pickup order. It was my first time there, so I wasn't sure how my burger would end up. I heard really great things about their amazing cheese fries though. So I brought it back to my desk and was so excited to see the pretzel roll bun! It is delicious y'all! OMG So so good! Labels: black bean burger. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The green peacock: January 2012
http://thegreenpeacock.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Pinterest = ultimate time pass. I'm going to talk about one of my favorite phrases used in India - time pass. Time pass in India means any activity you do to kill time. This could be watching movies, chatting on the phone, eating, etc. In the same vein, along comes glorious Pinterest to fill a visual and humorous void which had been lacking in recent internet browsing. Monday, January 2, 2012. Happy New Year everyone! So that brings me to my favorite meal of the day, breakfast!

Sunday, October 18, 2015. Sunday Brunch - The Table. Rest : The Table. Loc : Apollo Bunder, Colaba. After a few years of having terrible celebratory meals, i decided to go for something tried and tested namely the best restaurant in the city The Table. Although i visit with some regularity, it had been a while since i tried their Sunday Brunch. So we got there bright and early for our 1130 table and ran into the lovely Gauri Devidayal ( @. Eating out in Canberra. Wednesday, March 02, 2005. Commenting and trackback have been added to this blog. ¶ 3:51 PM. Friday, June 11, 2004. Iguana Cafe, University of Canberra. The University of Canberra. If on the expensive side for poor students, with soup-of-the-day from about $6 and pasta from about $8. The menu also extends to pizzas and cafe-fare such as sandwiches and open grilled things on bread. When I ate there with my parents we all had the soup-of-the-day which was chicken and sweet corn....

SO SUMPTUOUS
Who do you cook for? June 4, 2015. Every time I cook I expect my partner to attentively eat it. I expect that my partner will pay as much attention to it as he does to anything else. From the point of view of the partner, I tell myself that it is not always possible. Not that he doesn’t appreciate it ever. He does. But is it wrong to expect it every time? Is it wrong to feel disappointed? Isn’t cooking each meal like creating something new? Doesn’t all the attention and passion and love go into that meal?
