Saturday, January 19, 2008. Luke had no idea what was in store for him early Thursday morning. We had tried to explain what was going to happen at the hospital. A member of the hospital staff explained what was going to happen. But when the anesthesia wore off he was an angry kid! I found a dinosaur book that Luke enjoys. He loves dinosaurs. I started reading the book to him to pass the time. I told him that if he would lick his Popsicle that I would turn the page. This worked! Friday, January 18, 2008.

I wanted my children to have brief glimpse at how special my grandmother was to me. 1 Noni and Dida had a white christmas tree with a bird that sang. Christmas was always very special in our family. Thursday, August 30, 2007. The day finally arrived! We met with the organizers of the rural housing development program for a short ceremony. Our small part went well. We spoke for a few minutes before we started digging. The groundbreaking took place on our lot. Now the work begins :). Thursday, August 23, 2007. News of a Ground Breaking. Don't know. well I will tell you. We just received an email that we will have the ground breaking ceremony for our homes next Thursday, the 30th! Just a Quick Update.

Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Sighso I'm finally getting settled in Fairbanks. I had a little bit of an adventure getting here because I volunteered to give up my seat because they unexpectedly were overbooked by 20 people. (they had mechanical problems with our plane and sent a smaller one.) I got a free ticket out of it, which is nice! Anyway, I'm so excited to be here. Now I just can't wait to start driving! Monday, November 17, 2008. I TOTALLY forgot to mention that I started training for the National Marathon today. I'm SO excited! It feels really good to be in a training schedule again. The ironic thing is that today was my cross training day, so I didn't even run today. But it just felt good to pick up my old Hal Higdon training schedule. It felt like meeting up with an old friend. (Albeit, an extremely demanding, difficult but eventually AWESOME friend.). I got to make candy bars today. Crazy, huh?
