Curious Tulips: Granola round 2
http://curioustulip.blogspot.com/2015/04/granola-round-2.html
Monday, April 6, 2015. Didn't use a recipe this time for granola, except to check oven time and temperature. I went through about 4-5 cups of granola in two weeks, the last 1-2 cups went to C so he could enjoy some too. Oven: 300 for about 35 minutes, stirring every 10 or so. 45 cups of oats. 1/2 c vegetable oil. 1/2 c honey (combination of conventional and my souvenir Scottish honey). 1/2 c sliced almonds. Dash of ground nutmeg. Dash of ground cloves. Might try with coconut oil next time. 30 pics 30 days.

PND Faculty Blog: March 2010
http://pndfaculty.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A blog for the reasonable discussion of issues pertaining to life at PND. Monday, March 15, 2010. We've been discussing for going on two years now the importance of a later start for the school day. An interesting op-ed piece by George Will was featured in the Washington Post recently. Its worth a full read but below are the essentials. The school day starts too early because that is convenient for parents and teachers. Awakened at dawn, teenage brains are still releasing melatonin, which makes them ...

About Ms. H. October 17, 2011. This school year is kickin’ my arse in a big and major way. Thanks to budget cuts….we lost a conference period, and gained an extra class section. So now I’m up to 210 students in 7 90-minute classes with only 90 minutes of planning over the course of 2-days. THIS. SUCKS. From → 2009-10. Larr; Current State of Mind. The Verdict →. Leave one →. https://moldingyoungminds.wordpress.com/2010/08/22/and-so-begins-fall-2010
About Ms. H. And so begins…Fall 2010. August 22, 2010. It’s been a helluva summer around these parts, folks. So much so that words can’t describe how ready I am to get back into the classroom with my kiddos. (I am TIIiiiiiiiiiii-red of grown-ups! I’m teaching a full slate of English 4 classes….and since the curriculum is brand-new, the fact that I’m teaching the same grade level of kiddos is super-comforting. It will pretty much be the only thing that is remotely the same this year. New tile and carpet.

8220;You Want us to Pick up Trash? A few weeks ago Shelly Blake-Plock or @ TeachPaperless. This mission to go paperless and recognize Earth Day couldn’t have come at a better time. We had tons of snow this year and the front of our school was looking pretty sad. The plows had dug up the lawn in the front and there was litter everywhere. I decided making our school look more presentable was the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day. No big deal, right? One of the girls, “Do you have gloves? Subscribe to comm...

I attended the keynote speech at ISTE 2010. I am still wrestling with what happened during the Twitter backchannel of the keynote. The speaker, Jean-François Rischard, spoke about global problem solving and the critical role of educators and technology for education. I believe most of his speech was based on his book, High-Noon 20 Global Problems, 20 Years to Solve Them. Photo courtesy of jjohnson1120's photostream on Flickr. Here’s my issue. The message the speaker was trying to convey was a v...When we...
