A Tribute to Mr. Gamble | Custom Memorial Quilts
https://memorialquilts.wordpress.com/gamble-quilt
Creating Keepsakes from Clothing. A Tribute to Mr. Gamble. At the age of 95, Mr. Gamble left this world to be with the Lord. This beautiful, cozy lap quilt was made for his wife of 67 years from his cardigan sweaters (most were wool), flannel shirts and corduroy pants. Buttons from the sweaters serve as the main ties at the corners of the blocks with additional (hidden) ties in the middle of each block. A flannel shirt, cut diagonally across the plaid, was used for the binding. March 17, 2009 at 2:09 am.
