Op 2 wielen de horizon voorbij. Donderdag 30 juni 2011.

The Time of My Life. June 1, 2015. Well my man has gone and done it again helping make all my dreams come true, this time organising a campervanning adventure on WA long weekend. I was absolutely buzzing, grinning away to myself on the drive to pick up Gary. The sun was shining and we caught sight of our beautiful stopping site; gorgeous sea views on one side and bush-land as far as the eye could see on the other! Not bad to wake up to. I was gutted that our campervanning adventure had to come to an end&...

Living Abroad, Travel and Cycling. Today was amazing. I went to Elephant Village. I want one…. Me at the Tad Sae waterfalls; this doesn’t do them justice…. All of us about to go for a little swim. Grabbing some grub before the swim. Into the river we go. This descent was steep! Laquo; Luang Prabang, Laos. Date : November 7, 2012. I’m sure we could find a way to ship one of those bad boys back to the states, but I’m not sure if you could afford to feed it. Take Care Sam, see you soon. Luang Prabang, Laos.

Scatterlings of Africa: October 2011
http://dowellbaumsinzambia.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
We are the scatterlings of Africa/On a journey to the stars/Far below, we leave forever/Dreams of what we were." -Johnny Clegg. Sunday, October 30, 2011. The landlocked country of Laos is a very mountainous country, full of rivers, many forests, and few people. We really enjoyed our time in the ancient city of Luang Prabang, which has been called the "most romantic city in Southeast Asia" by our guidebook. It was very relaxing and slow paced. 7-headed dragon on the temple steps. In Asian culture drag...

Malaysia – Sabah. Sometimes all it takes is one photo to get you amped up to buy that plane ticket. Or at least get the gears grinding. I’ve compiled some of my pictures that I take on the go, and hope that they can motivate and inspire you to get out there and Just Do Life! Malaysia – Borneo. The Land of a Million Elephants, holds just a few thousand at best now. However there are places like the Elephant Village. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Malaysia – Sabah. The Elephant Village Sanctuary. Is home to elephants and their Mahuts, giving them a new, safe home, away from abusive tourism practices that so many elephants endure in South East Asia. There are nine elephants and mahouts here, each mahout has been the elephants trainer from both their childhoods. Here we go cruising in the Nam Khan, the elephants would splash around and play once they got belly deep. Way too much fun! Maxi the baby elephant, he is roughly 2 years old now. Leave a Rep...
