I started knitting a headband, because I wanted a cute hair accessory. I went to the gym and did a yoga class- the YMCA is apparently open on thanksgiving, and to be honest I am very thankful, because it’s a great service to have access to on thanksgiving, much more important for them to be open than, say, target. I was going to put something like emerging from a cocoon, but searching "cartoon cocoon emerge" in Google Images led to a picture of someone with a giant butterfly tattooed on their ass (one wing on each cheek), at which point I fled. Today, when I had to (horrors! Unexpectedly interact with new people. Today, when my older boy talked non-stop from the time he woke up until the time his eyes finally, blessedly, drifted shut. Today, when my younger boy had a sudden need to be in physical contact with me at all possible moments. Can I just have one hour.
