Sunday, 12 May 2013. Europe Here I Come! The 445am wake-ups are starting to get colder and darker by the day, so I know it is definitely time to leave Australia and chase some European sun. Yes, this Wednesday I will depart home soil and head overseas for five months for a season of intense training and racing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Ellie Salthouse: December 2012
http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 3 December 2012. Yesterday was a great day at the Million Metres for MND swim. Together, the Cairns family and I swam 10km to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease. I also had the chance to swim with sporting Legends, Susie O'Neill, Jess Schipper, Brad Beven and Sam Burgess, who were supporting the event. Was great to mingle with them and hear about their illustrious sporting careers. One thing is for sure, I have never felt so tiny as when I was standing next to footy legend Sam Burgess.

Monday, 26 November 2012. With Christmas just around the corner, I thought this would be an ideal time to let you in on my diet and nutrition plan to help me get in shape for the 2013 triathlon season. Ellie Salthouse: Noosa Training Camp
http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2013/05/noosa-training-camp_2.html
Thursday, 2 May 2013. After arriving in Noosa 8.5hrs after setting off, I went straight to sleep for the remainder of the arvo. I even slept through my swim session, oops! Friday saw us heading out for a 150km through the Sunshine Coast hinterland. This also included the much anticipated Obi Obi Rd, a 7km climb reaching gradients of up to 29%! Sunday morning I participated in the 10km run race as part of the Sport Fest. I had a great race and was very pleased to come away with 2nd considering the big...

Ellie Salthouse: October 2012
http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 21 October 2012. ITU Junior Worlds Triathlon. I arrived in Auckland on Wednesday afternoon, feeling fit and ready to race fast. I had had a great prep and was feeling fully prepared. Our first stop was the Age Group dinner, where we enjoyed dinner with the age groupers and had the chance to wish them luck ahead of their races. I ran as hard as I could and gave everything. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t my day. I finished in 19. Thanks to my sponsors – Chris from Bicycle Riders Morningside fo...

Ellie Salthouse: Time Flies…Literally!
http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2013/06/time-fliesliterally.html
Friday, 7 June 2013. As the 4-week mark of my overseas adventure approaches, I took some time to reflect on all that I have managed to achieve in just one month; two races, three countries and a new ‘home’ to be exact. Position. However, it was great to see two other Aussie girls in first and second on the podium. No matter how disappointed I was though, I knew that I had just one week until I got another opportunity to race. Place so we were rapt. My next race will be St Jean de Mont, France on 22.

http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2013/04/easter-base-training-block.html
Friday, 5 April 2013. Easter Base Training Block. Over the Easter weekend, instead of tucking into piles of chocolate eggs and hot cross buns, I spent the long weekend in my biggest base block to date. I am really looking forward to putting all my hard work into action next weekend in Chengdu, China. Stay tuned for my results. 8 April 2013 at 07:30. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ellie Salthouse: Chengdu Premium Asian Cup
http://elliesalthouse.blogspot.com/2013/04/chengdu-premium-asian-cup_19.html
Friday, 19 April 2013. Chengdu Premium Asian Cup. Last week I headed across to China with a group of four Aussie athletes to compete in the Chengdu Premium Asian Cup. I am not the biggest fan of long-haul flights, so having an unexpected night in Hong Kong was a welcome surprise after we missed our final connection. Getting upgraded to a premier suite for the night was definitely a highlight, with a view to die for from my room. Experience and one I would definitely recommend. 19 April 2013 at 07:34.
