The Community Hope Project. Our goal is to make this an ongoing project that enables the Youth Ambassadors (YAs) of one generation to grow into the College Mentors (CMs) for the subsequent generation. The formation of authentic and nurturing relationships between young adults and youth will cultivate hope and willpower amongst future generations that will one day work together to drive change in our society. Teaching literacy in Africa using mobile phones. One small tool, one giant leap. Unfortunately, we have to admit that using Cell Phones as learning tools it is not as easy as it sounds. All the different programs that are taking place using Cell Phones as the primarily tool gave me hope that this will continue. I like to think that Cell Phones are this “Silver Bullet” that we were looking for to integrate and educate poor people that live in rural and/or isolated areas. Maybe it is not all about results,...
