May 1, 2016. Empires of the Undergrowth. We had an explosion of interest in the project yesterday on Kickstarter. Cutting to the chase we are now 68% funded and rising, that is a jump from 45% yesterday morning. I still can barely believe it! Over January we began our move into the Unreal Engine 4 focusing at first on the Underground section of the game. This included basic AI, the underground tiles, resource gathering, construction, egg laying and development. Black Garden Ant Gameplay. August 12, 2015. So our black ant plays well in a swarm style play, where a player wants to dominate by numbers. The tiles get cheaper the more you build allowing for huge armies to be produced very cheaply. Additionally these ants harvest food from aphids, which we have also incorporated into the game.
