Natural History Diary 2011. Wednesday, 11 January 2012. In the next few weeks I really need to decide on a broad topic for my dissertation. I'm due to present some ideas about it to a panel at college sometime in February and then my completed research proposal has to be submitted by the beginning of May, ready to commence the real work from then until Spring 2013. Slight problem: I haven't got a clue what to choose! Answers on a postcard please. :-). Monday, 2 January 2012. So, a walk around Coombe Wood...

Natural History Diary 2011. Tuesday, 21 June 2011. Last night I watched Channel 4’s Dispatches programme entitled “ Conservation’s Dirty Secrets. 8221; It proposed to examine the way in which big conservation charities are run and questioning whether the conservation movement has got it wrong by focusing on charismatic ‘megafauna’ and by putting animals before people. The Happy Conservationist: Going cuckoo
http://thehappyconservationist.blogspot.com/2012/04/going-cuckoo.html
Natural History Diary 2011. Tuesday, 24 April 2012. It's official, the stress of my assignments is pushing me over the edge into cloud cuckoo land. So much so that this morning whilst I was out, in the rain, trying to take photographs for an assignment I thought I heard a cuckoo. It was very faint but then I heard it again. And again. I didn't hear one last year so I am delighted to hear one this year. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). List of bird sightings - those in bold are birding firsts for me!
