Let go of the Gluten. November 6, 2011. Falling back is one of those little gifts. We get one extra hour. I suppose it was loaned to us from the spring, but I’m taking it. I woke up before the sun today. My body said it was later than normal, but it was still earlier than I expected to wake. I didn’t grab […]. Read the full article →. October 8, 2011. Gluten-Free Cheese Biscuits
http://www.celiacteen.com/2011/cheese-biscuits
Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. October 8, 2011. Time to be thankful, time to celebrate what we have. Time to gather with those we love and savour marvelous food. Turkey, pumpkin pie, all the good stuff. These biscuits are simple. They’re based off of my millet biscuits. Using all the same flours and dry ingredients. The cheese is light and just a nice tone. The sharper the cheese you choose, the more pronounced the flavour will be. 1 cup millet flour. 1 cup tapioca flour. 1 1/2 tsp sugar.
Les Alpes

Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. June 11, 2012. A year ago, it became clear that I would have a handful of free months. Months without school, between high-school courses and University commencing. After contemplating a massive road-trip across North America and other random momentary ideas, I decided upon France. Each month, another detail would become clearer. Language school. Four months. The Alps. Annecy. An apartment. My visa. À parler en français. I made this photo in my last few week...
A Reminder
http://www.celiacteen.com/2013/a-reminder
Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. February 11, 2013. Five years ago I sat on my couch when the phone rang. It was a call with big news. With news that would change my life forever. A call I will never forget. A call that wasn’t even for me. It was the call that diagnosed me with celiac disease. Last year, with a body whose strength I could count on, I leapt again on that day. I flew to Europe, and started a multitude adventures. This January 30. Maybe it’s that diagnosis anniversary, and may...

Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. January 30, 2014. 2008 That was the year that this space started. It was the year I found out I have celiac. It was the year I started high school. It was the year I turned 15. So much has changed since then. So much good has come, as well as some not-as-good. So much life. That’s it, really. Life. I’m not a teen anymore! I have to study! I have no light to photograph my baking! I don’t have time to play in the kitchen! The name is a lie! I save my careful r...
Little Moments

Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. February 29, 2012. While wandering through town at sunset, I was struck by the need to write. To check in, here. To say hello, and that everything is splendid. Every other trip I’ve written about in this space has been short: a few days, or my first time in Europe- for three weeks. But this isn’t just a trip. It’s an adventure. Most of all, I feel completely at peace. Is my job, currently. Even with my incredibly limited vocabulary and basic. Can be part of ...

Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. January 5, 2012. A new year. I love the freshness of it. The idea that anything can happen. The blank page, unmarked by triumphs or failures, only plans and dreams. 2012 is destined to be a year distinctly unlike any I’ve experienced thus far. Big plans, full of space to wander and make mistakes and feel joy are outlined. (I’ll tell you about them soon. Promise! This past semester, I’ve missed only 2 days. Two! Compared with the 3-1/2 months I missed last fa...

Let go of the Gluten. By Lauren | Celiac Teen. April 13, 2012. This is something I needed to write. Something I needed to share. With eagerness, a need for it to be out there: to declare the remembrance, to express gratitude, and to send love home. Consider it an open letter, and a whole lot of love. It was heartbreaking. It was beautiful. It is one of the weekends that I will never forget, for all of that and the tug in my chest. Even sculptures on the monument were weeping. Drops fell from the sky,...

Everyday Glow
Monday, March 26, 2018. If someone I respect is doing something just so. Then maybe the way to do it is just so. So I preface this post by saying there are SO MANY ways to spend time with God! And you can’t go wrong with any of them. If you are spending time with God, you are already doing it right. That said, I am a sucker for new ideas. And I do love to peek in at how other people do things. Cause I need Jesus rubbing off on me all the time. So I keep all my stuff in one place to make it easy. So I pas...

Here's how I make mine:. 100g organic mustard seeds (I buy mine here. And I mix brown and yellow). Pinch of chili flakes.

Letters of Poppy and Sissy | an everyday girl's conversations with God
Letters of Poppy and Sissy. An everyday girl's conversations with God. Letter from Feb 24th: Mission work. Bull;March 25, 2010 • Leave a Comment. I’ve decided to try to keep this blog up too! Now, I’m up to three blogs…. C onfession: I’m with the Big Guy. In Compelled, I just wrote about how I’ve wrestled with the call to Latin America to do mission work. Within the past few months, God revealed that the timing wasn’t quite right, though. Here’s one of the letters…. Lord, I want all of these because I...
