Friday, July 31, 2015. Taiwan was Crazy Bug Heaven! This is really a spider. It had 6 legs, but one was gimpy so it looks like 5. Apparently, they grow their last two legs when they mature. This baby was already palm sized. It was in one of the principal's office. We ate lunch with it hiding behind a couch, which made some of the moms a tad nervous! Pet Beetles that we got to take home a feed a couple of nights. Cockroach, this is the only one we saw in our house, but we saw others around outside.

Friday, July 31, 2015. This is sadly a short post, birds were such a tease in Taiwan. I heard all kinds of new songs and bird calls, but it was so hard to ever see them in all the trees and plants, and even harder to snap a picture if I did see one. The awkward teenage stage of the black crowned night heron. He will grow up to look like this guy. Dan was very pleased to catch a baby bird. Brave bird hanging out in a downpour! Thursday, March 31, 2011. I've been neglecting the blog the last couple months. There are a few reasons for this:. 1) The baseball season is upon us. You're looking at the new 8U Humble Indians First Baseman! Seth is the 3rd base coach again this year and I am the Team Mom. This includes, but is not limited to: one practice and two games a week. So far our Indians are 2-0! He is making his Poppy proud by playing for the Oakland A's! He has one practice and one game a week. It certainly keeps me busy.
