And review them . I normally have a bag of McCain. Original oven chips in my freezer as they are gluten free, so I was interested to try these new gluten free Home chips. Here is the a recipe for a simple small gluten free Victoria sandwich cake. 175g caster sugar or I used 190g dextrose. 175g gluten free SR flour i used doves farm flour. 1 1/2 tsp Gluten free baking powder. No refined sugar jam I used St Dalfour strawberry or regular jam. 2 x cake tins 18cm ( 7inch). Grease and line tins. Cream together fat and sugar. Put on wire tray to cool.

Today is my niece’s first birthday, yesterday was spent baking in readiness for the celebration family lunch party. I bought some tasty gluten free Cumberland sausages and chicken nuggets from Marks and Spencer’s along with some cocktail sticks for a retro birthday feel. Well I’ve had a long absence, but the spirit has moved me back here again – or more likely all the flowers in the garden have prompted me to post again! Last year was so cold and snowy, but the plants almost all did amazingly well. This warm but very wet winter has seemed a little trickier than the cold, especially with bulbs and alpines, but on the whole things have survived pretty well. Phlox subulata Purple Beauty.
