Every Good Gift: April 2014
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The Rich Young Man. And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to. And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.”. He said to him, “Which ones? 8221; And Jesus said,. 8220;You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,. Honor your father and mother, and,. The young man said to him,. Perfect, go,.

Every Good Gift: February 2015

Wednesday, February 4, 2015. You Have to Live It. I know, I know. Anytime a sentence starts with the words "have to" or "should," our defenses go up and we start to ask questions like "Why is a person on the internet trying to control my life? Or "Why should I even listen to her? Today, I ask you to set those questions aside and move forward with an open mind. This is something I was convicted of lately, and the "have to" comes from someone far greater than me. The answer is, of course! That's a tougher ...

Every Good Gift: Common and Uneducated
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2015/04/common-and-uneducated.html
Saturday, April 25, 2015. You would think that when I got that first place trophy that I would be satisfied. That I would feel completed when my transcript held all A's. That the applause would fulfill me. After all, I worked for all these things. But they didn't satisfy. Each achievement made me only want more, each good deed caused me to feel that I needed to do more to satisfy God. I memorized the Scriptures about freedom in Christ and about his amazing grace, but I didn't live like I believed it.

Every Good Gift: You know you're acting like a mom when....

Monday, March 23, 2015. You know you're acting like a mom when. You know you're acting like a mom when. Having kids spit gum into your hand is a totally normal, weekly occurrence. You search a church campus for half an hour looking for two twelve year old girls who "got lost while looking for a mood ring in the dark". You stop mid-sentence in a conversation to yell at the tweens down the hall, "don't hurt yourselves" when you hear them crash into the wall with the spinny chair. View my complete profile.

Every Good Gift: Beyond my Imagination
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2015/03/beyond-my-imagination.html
Tuesday, March 3, 2015. It was so surprising to me. I expected to like it, but I never dreamed that I would love it as much as I did. I never thought that it going so far away from home, I would find another one. But I did. My mission trip to India was so far beyond what I could have imagined. There is so much I remember, and so much I don't want to forget. Strangely enough, I also loved the culture of India, the clothes of India, the food of India, and even the smells! I believe it is the opportunity fo...

Every Good Gift: July 2014
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Be Patient in Tribulation. The message was on this exact topic: being patient in tribulation. We studied a passage from 2 Corinthians 12, where Paul is speaking of all the ways that God has revealed himself to Paul. It even says that God brought Paul up to heaven in a vision. But then Paul goes on to say:. To keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations,. A thorn was given me in the flesh,. But he said to me,. For the sake of Christ, then,.

Every Good Gift: August 2014
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 2, 2014. Be Constant in Prayer. Growing up, I always attributed being "constant in prayer" to the super-christian types. You know what I mean? I watched the Veggietales episode where it talked about St. Patrick praying 100 times a day. To my little kid self, it felt like a competition I could never win. ("He prayed a hundred times a day? I only prayed twice today.") I even went through periods of my life when I tried "praying without ceasing" just to see if I could do it. I have got to t...

Every Good Gift: November 2014
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. 30 days of wearing the same dress. 30 days of trusting God to provide for the calling he has given me. 30 days of posting on my blog every single day. 30 days of this project. Complete. When I think of all that has happened this month, I am overwhelmed. God has been so good, and he truly is my provider. I am so thankful for this calling he had given me to serve him in India, and I can't wait to see what he does with me. Thank you all for joining me on this journey. Now to him w...

Every Good Gift: May 2015
http://tofurtherhiskingdom.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 17, 2015. The Words I Used to Hate. That simple sentence can be utterly terrifying. Any student finishing high school is familiar with the barrage of questions they may face every day:. Where are you going to college? What is your major? Do you have a job? Where are you going to be working? As life goes on, the questions may get even harder:. When are you going to get married? Where are you going to live? How are you going to pay for that? What do you believe about? I memorized this passage&#...
