I've often had this discussion with paul of how annoyed we get with kid's music. there's so many great bands out there like yello and kraftwerk and disco pusher and primus that have insane sounds and lovely melodies and fun lyrics that kid's can sing along with. why subject myself to a grating album when markus is just as happy jumping around to the clash? Robert pattinson is filming his new movie just a few blocks from my place in brooklyn. when i got the text this evening from an equally rpatz obsessed friend, i bolted up to amity st. to catch a glimpse of edward cullen in the flesh. what was i expecting? That he was going to spot me in the crowd of a hundred swooning girls? New york i love you but planting my celebrity crush smack in the middle of my neighborhood is just too much of a tease! Monday, November 23, 2009. Dear readers, i got myself a job for the christmas season as an elf at macy's santaland, herald square. why? Uh, yeah. not to mention just outright creepy. so, everyone else saw the lameness of this scenario right? No dice. all the other elves were super into their parts and ACTING to the extreme. unbearable cheer. elaborate stories of what they do at the north pole the other 364 days, what the reindeer like to eat. it was excruciating. Hazard as a Mom. Saturday, July 25, 2009. Last night was the third gathering of the Unclevery Named Eating Society. Mesclun, cherry tomatoes, pepitas, cucumbers, cotija in a chipotle-lime vinaigrette. Build your own tacos! Cuban style black beans with sherry vinegar. Vanilla bean creme brulee w fresh cherries. Hazard as a Mom. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Part of the reason why the blog is so wordy and not so picture-y, is because I have an unfortunate computer. It tries my patience, and it wins daily. However! I will be rectifying that situation soonish. So there's that. Hazard as a Blog is going to also get a facelift. I keep experimenting with this and that, but it's still not quite the way I'd love it to look.so I've got some creativey types working on some more aesthetically pleasing situations.

Hazard as a Mom. Wednesday, December 17, 2008. My upstairs neighbor Mary has started a gorgeous little line of hand knit baby dresses and sweet candles called Wren. Seeing as I have a big mouth, I had to share. As of right now, she's only got dresses, so Auden can't be a little model, but the second she gets to her baby boy line, I'm SO snatching it all up.
