5th Grade for Real!: Current Event Interview

http://fifthgraderecycled.blogspot.com/2010/05/current-event-interview.html

5th Grade for Real! Saturday, May 8, 2010. Is the privatization of NASA the end of childhood dreams? May 9, 2010 at 11:03 PM. I completely agree with Mr.C! I think students will still get opportunities even if NASA is privitized. There are so many camps and fair they can do in order to get those opportunities. What else can they do for good opportunities? May 10, 2010 at 12:26 AM. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to read this earlier because my computer decided it wasnt going to work all day!

5th Grade for Real! Friday, April 23, 2010. Bloom's Taxonomy of Questions. Through analyzing the questions asked in Mr. C's classroom, I discovered most questions were either knowledge, comprehension, or application based. The higher level thinking questions of analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. While it is important to create these higher level questions in a classroom, I was not surprised by the lack of such questions because of the grade level, 5th grade, and the days lesson. Friday, April 9, 2010.

5th Grade for Real!: Classroom Management

http://fifthgraderecycled.blogspot.com/2010/03/classroom-management.html

5th Grade for Real! Friday, March 19, 2010. During a science lesson, where the students were supposed to work independently, he asked that students spread apart if needed, as a result a number of students scooted their desks elsewhere. While this at first surprised me that these students would be so aware of their needs, their behavior is likely the result of the positive environment Mr. C has created and the high standards he has set. March 24, 2010 at 9:17 PM. Do you think his students ever misbehave?

5th Grade for Real!: Teaching Philosophy Interview

http://fifthgraderecycled.blogspot.com/2010/03/teaching-philosophy-interview.html

5th Grade for Real! Friday, March 5, 2010. I was inspired by Mr. C’s philosophy, and excited to see many of my own opinions on the teaching professions reflected in his description. While I’ve only seen a glimpse of his teaching, it appears as if his philosophies are well implemented into his teaching style. Mr. C believes that teaching is an important profession and this shows in the effort he places in helping his students succeed. March 6, 2010 at 10:36 AM. March 7, 2010 at 4:49 PM. Mr C seems sweet!
