Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. December 29, 2012. Jell-O “to the T”. Since I was a young girl, one of my favorite desserts is Jell-O. My grandma would always mix something different into hers; cottage cheese, grapes, mandarin oranges, apples, nuts, sour cream, strawberries, bananas, pears, pineapple. Her Jell-O was good, but my favorite is just simple, maybe with a bit of whipped cream mixed in or on top. Once again I found something fun on Pinterest that I wanted to try;. 8230;….no. Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. January 21, 2013. Wine and Dine: January. For Christmas, my mother gave my aunt and I, the gift of flavors. For a year, once a month we select one restaurant in Southern California. We are then treated to a night of enjoying food and drinks in good company. I will be attempting to become a food critic, rating each with 1-5 stars; based on location, ambiance, food appearance, food flavor, and service. For the month of January we chose Bluefin. We started with Kelp Salad.

Healing through Wounds | F.R.E.E.
https://faithreadingeatingexploring.wordpress.com/2012/12/08/healing-through-wounds
Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. December 8, 2012. I tried a different church last week. I thought the sermon was good, but I only half heartedly listened until the speaker said the word, “Healing”. It hit so hard, I started to tear up. I thought, “That’s it. That’s what I need. How could I have forgotten about healing? The next day I read a devotional on contentment and this was my verse to dwell on. But it is NOT a secret! Hurting and healing go hand in hand, but the healing is how we change, become ...

Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. Author Archives: Jess Taylor. January 5, 2014. Sunsets Over The Rockies. This may not be the most elaborate well thought out, vocabulary inviting post I have written, but I am intending it to be more of a journal entry then a well written piece. I have now been a Colorado resident for a week. Already lots of new friends, memories, and sights. My mother kept me updated and just 6 hours later it sold. WOW! We arrived Saturday morning at 2am. Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. October 4, 2013. I brought it home with such excitement. I looked through my room to decide…Where should I start? Desk, no. Closet, no. File cabinet, no. Book shelf, yes! I started with the middle shelf, the tallest shelf. It was full from edge to edge and even had books stacked on top of the ones orderly placed. Tears filled my eyes as I sat among books upon books, pages upon pages of hard work, frustrations, heartache, and feelings of failure. Tears filled my eyes...

Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. February 23, 2013. Wine and Dine: February. For the second month, we decided to go to The Raymond. Walter Raymond started The Raymond as a hotel in 1886. In 1895, fire burned it to the ground. He built a bigger hotel with a cottage next to it, where Walter and his wife would quite often stay. In 1931, the hotel was toppled by the Great Depression. Walter and his wife lived in the cottage until 1934. That cottage is now The Raymond Restaurant. Some artist our God is.

Faith, Reading, Eating, Exploring. December 28, 2012. A Special Gift for Christmas. The first year of teaching my own Preschool class alone, I decided to take on the challenge of making a hands and footprints calendar for each of the kids as their Christmas present. After glueing, painting, and drawing on all the last touches, each print became something special. Card stock paper for the front and back covers. Clear transparent top cover. Last, bound it all together. Here is the completed work. The Lord ...
