Got a 100% on my paper for Intro to Hospitality. Yeah! Got halfway through my book, " The Princes of Ireland. Saw The Game of Their Lives. Well, folks....

Tuesday, November 30, 2004. So now I have to monitor him tonight, make sure he's more comfortable (he seems to be now. He's not whining anymore.), and check on him again at lunch tomorrow, and my sister will take him to the vet whenever I can get an appointment for him. Hopefully they're not booked up. Posted by Kristi at 12:01 AM. Friday, November 26, 2004. Here was my Thanksgiving in a nutshell:. Driving into the sunrise is a very pleasant early-morning experience. Pumpkin cappucino is nummy. It was sa...

http://openseas.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 28, 2005. I wish I was better at coming up with creative titles.). I had a pretty nice weekend. Other than the fact that I couldn't fall asleep Saturday night, it was very relaxing. I spent all day Saturday cleaning, and had the evening to myself to spend a little time online and finish reading "Dragon's Lair" by Sharon Kay Penman. I am meeting her next week at a book signing, so now I'm all set. :). Except I do plan to go to Schnucks and raid what's left of the Easter candy. There's lots o...

Open Seas: Passengers vs. the Airline Industry
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/12/passengers-vs-airline-industry.html
Monday, December 21, 2009. Passengers vs. the Airline Industry. Wow, this administration did something I might actually agree. With MIGHT. We'll have to see how it plays out, though. There could be unforeseen consequences with this. The government imposed a three-hour time limit on airplanes delayed on tarmacs. But I do feel a little better about flying, now that there is less chance that I would be one of those poor people stuck in that traveling nightmare! Posted by Kristi at 6:01 PM. Z is for Zest.

This letter from the AUL (Americans United for Life) website lays out the abortion concern in the health care package much better than I could ever do with what I know just from debate on TV. Go here. To send this letter to your Senators and Representatives:. Mar 5, 2010. Hart Senate Office Building, Room 717. Constitution Avenue and 2nd Street, NE. Washington, DC 20510-2507. Open Seas: Y is for Yeast
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/07/y-is-for-yeast.html
Monday, July 13, 2009. Y is for Yeast. It is definitely on my list though, to attempt making bread with yeast. This Rustic Country Bread. Looks like a nice recipe to start with. That recipe uses bread flour, which would give me practice with yet another kind of flour to add to my repertoire. :). Yeast seems to give you a better variety of the types of breads you can bake. Another recipe that is a bit more savory is this one for Feta and Tomato Focaccia. Some more I'm bookmarking:. Welcome to Open Seas.

Open Seas: U is for Upside-Down Cake
http://openseas.blogspot.com/2009/07/u-is-for-upside-down-cake.html
Thursday, July 09, 2009. U is for Upside-Down Cake. I've never baked one, but how bad can a spongy cake topped (bottomed? By far the most popular kind is pineapple. But another one that sounds equally good is peach. For a delicious breakfast-y dessert, how about an Apple Upside-Down Skillet Coffee Cake. These fancy little Banana Upside-Down Cakes. Look cute and classy:. But I especially enjoyed reading this account of a Cherry Cornmeal Upside-Down Cake. She also baked something called a Tarte Tatin.

Friday, May 27, 2005. I should've known from the beginning I've never liked that. Guess I'll just have to get used to it. I'm learning tons of great skills for working in this industry though. If I can conquer this job, I'm a travel PRO. Posted by Kristi at 8:17 PM. Friday, May 13, 2005. Sometimes I feel like there's only so much that can fit in my brain. I'm gonna have to make it stretch a bit to fit in everything that I'm learning this week! Posted by Kristi at 7:56 PM. Monday, May 09, 2005. I did pret...
