LIFE IS A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL. March 22, 2010. Okay so let's review once more. We took a plane to Lima, then a plane to Cusco. Next we rode the train below for 3 hours to Aguas Calientes. Then hopped on the bus below for 20 minutes. We took a road that was VERY narrow, and VERY curvy. And at last. we reached our destination - Machu Picchu! But let's not get ahead of ourselves :o). Here is Maggie on a bridge in Aguas Calientes. It's not much to look at and extremely touristy. LIFE IS A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL. January 29, 2010. Finally. CUSCO, PERU! This is a tiny little city that has exploded due to the tourism. Much bigger than I expected. This is the Plaza del Armas. The upscale hotels are here, shops and restaurants. This is also a common pick-up location for the bus tours. LIFE IS A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL. June 21, 2012. Maggie is "graduating" from Kindergarten tomorrow. Yeah Maggie! I was worried that the current political situation in Paraguay might prevent us from going but so far it's a go. We'll see what my husband thinks if he ever gets home from work! In the meantime I found this old meme I always meant to do. Funny some of the perceptions kids have about their parents. The deer loved them too for all the apples and watermelon rinds! Since it was a windy night we flew a kite. And searched for shells. The next day had perfect waves for little guys!
