The Princess and the "Pea": December 2011
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 22, 2011. Tuesday night prayer services continue to amaze me, bring me joy and remind me of God’s faithfulness. This week, on a cold and rainy Tuesday night we had five adults, one teen and six kids in the church! Wow, I am often overwhelmed with God’s faithfulness! So, my heart went out to Brando again in this moment, this poor child. But not only did. I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God! He is the Rock, his works are perfect,. About the good food...

The Princess and the "Pea": February 2012
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 23, 2012. Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Verse seven is my favorite, its says, “They moved the ark of God from Abinadab’s house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it.” Why is that my favorite verse? Because this is the verse I’ve been thinking about and meditating on the past few weeks. David and his men fashioned a fancy new ‘wheely cart’, as I’ve been calling it, so they could move the Ark. Why is that such a big deal? His Word, His Gospel. He said, MAKE DISCIPLES! A hug from s...

The Princess and the "Pea": What to Wear……
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2012/07/what-to-wear.html
Thursday, July 5, 2012. What to Wear……. Ok, so there’s the evidence. I basically wear that blue coat, a pair of jeans and boots, which admittedly are 13 years old! First, I start off with leggings, socks and a tank top. That’s layer 1. Next, I add wool socks, jeans and a long sleeve shirt. That’s layer 2. After layer 2, comes layer 3. A hoodie or sweater and the infamous 13 year old boots I wear daily. After layer 3, now I am ready to walk around the un-heated house. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Princess and the "Pea": July 2011
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 15, 2011. I leave for vacation in 7 days, 11 hours, 37 minutes and about 15 seconds (give or take a few)! But as you can tell, I'm not excited at all. ha! I won't be home until a few days after I leave Puno because I'm heading to Iquitos first to see the jungle and the Amazon river. I decided I can't live in Peru for two years without seeing the jungle! Plus I have some friends up there I can stay with and visit. There is running water. Eating yogurt.instead of drinking runny yogurt. Putting...

The Princess and the "Pea": Home…..
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2012/07/home.html
Friday, July 27, 2012. In the past week I have done two loads of laundry, loaded the dishwasher, unloaded the dishwasher, seen the sun still out at 8 pm, spent time with grandparents, took a nap on Sunday afternoon and have been swimming at night. This all might sound like normal stuff, but it’s all “new” to me! I’m home, I’m back in good ol’ Colorado! It’s great to be back, it’s wonderful to wear summer clothes, see my family, hear the breeze through the trees and more. So as Grandma says, God is good.

The Princess and the "Pea": September 2011
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2011. So here's the first and best bathroom. This is the bathroom Franci and I share. It's an all-in-one type bathroom. You see the drain on the floor? This is the public bathroom we use when we're in Huascar. We literally have to walk 15-20 minutes to get here and it's the closest public bathroom. Its actually decent and has running water which is a perk. You can flush the toilet and run your hands under some water in the sink. But there urinal cracks me up! And of course, an off...

The Princess and the "Pea": August 2011
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. I'm back in Puno. Back to the familiar sounds of pigs squealing, trash trucks playing music, sheep baaing and Spanish words flowing. I'm also back to the familiar sights of Lake Titicaca, women carrying children on their backs, chickens freshly slaughtered and beer caps on the street. I left home Friday morning (August 12th) and headed to DIA with my Dad. Denver to Dallas, Dallas to Miami, Miami to Lima, Lima to Juliaca. Phew! Thanks for the warm welcome home! Thanks to my D!

The Princess and the "Pea": January 2012
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 14, 2012. But of course, the most important part of the trip was going to Machu Picchu! We left the 40/40 house where we stayed at 6:15 in the morning on Tuesday. Chad, Amanda, Chad’s parents Loren and Vicki, Trevor, Garren and myself had a private car (set up by the tour agency) take us all from the city out to a town called Ollantaytambo, about two hours away. The entire drive is gorgeous! So….are you ready for some pictures? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Princess and the "Pea": Getting Real…..
http://kristensperublog.blogspot.com/2012/07/getting-real.html
Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Finally, the time has come to pack up and clean the house! Tuesday’s are the start to our workweek and I started my day off normal enough, with a run then coffee and my Bible. After spending the entire morning, washing dishes, scrubbing every single tile, table, cabinet and surface in that kitchen, I was hungry, it was time to stop for lunch. I started coughing the other day, I don’t want to get sick! So, I made myself some quick and easy egg drop soup to soothe my throat. We had ...
