Not only are they packed with fiber and protein, they’re also low calorie and so versatile. I cook off a whole one pound bag and then keep them in the fridge and use them all week long. They’re perfect in soup, tossed in a salad, or eaten just on their own. Lentils are simple enough to prepare, all you need is…. 16 oz of lentils. 6-8 cups of water. 2 chicken bouillon cubes.

Get some sweet peppers and prepare yourself for a treat! 4 - 6 peppers (red and yellow and orange). 1 basket of small tomatoes. Lots of garlic cloves (4 - 6). 1/4 cup olive oil. 2 TBSP red wine vinegar. Italian herbs of your choice: Rosemary, thyme, oregano, tarragon, majoram. Basil leaves - chopped into strips. Seed and core peppers then cut into strips. Heat oven to 400.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 6, 2013 1 Comment. My husband and I used to eat at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) a few times a week. Sometimes twice a day! My favorites there changed over the years and the last few years it was their thin crust pesto chicken pizza. I LOVED that pizza. Doesn’t matter if I was full on appetizers and bread before my pizza came, the entire pizza had no chance of survival. Notice how the pizza is referred to in past tense?
