Fostering North East can provide the following types of foster placements for children of all ages and with differing needs:. Short-Term Fostering / Emergency Care. This could be for a couple of weeks to a couple of years and can be provided if appropriate foster carers are available. Children placed in these circumstances will be anxious, distressed, even traumatised and foster carers receive a high level of support from the agency at this time. Short Break or Respite Fostering. We offer on-going training and continuous support to all our carers to ensure they are confident to take on the role of a foster carer and provide the highest level of care.
