Black and white portraits. Black and white portrait photography is beautiful for it's apparent simplicity. However this portraits are a sample of some of the most challenging photography work I have done, because for me a portrait is not just a photo of a face. The warehouse was a project that I made for my first participation in the "Primavera Fotográfica" in 1997. Was also my first serious photo project. I was learning sculpture when I've discovered this place. Inside this abandoned warehouse the textures were inspiring and the light beautiful so it was easy to photograph, I didn't had to arrange anything and did all the photos in about one hour. Dead Drunk, The Age of Drunkness. Dead Drunk was a young Portuguese band from the city of Amadora. As an Ar.Co assignment I had to create the imagery for a CD cover without using the computer. È un'illusione che le foto si facciano con la macchina. si fanno con gli occhi, con il cuore, con la testa. Chi non sa fare una foto interessante con un apparecchio da poco prezzo, ben difficilmente otterrà qualcosa di meglio con la fotocamera dei suoi sogni. Le prime 10.000 fotografie sono le peggiori. L’unica fotografia che mi sento di escludere è la foto di me stesso morto. Attrezzatura e tecnica sono solo l'inizio. È il fotografo che conta più di tutto. Aggiornato 19.08.2017. RSS di - ANSA.it.
