From Naive to Natural. Creamy Vegan Tomato Soup with Chestnuts. 1 Bring to boil a few cups of water in a large saucepan. Once boiling, add a couple of handfuls of chestnuts. And boil for about 5 minutes. 2 Remove with a spoon and cut shells to remove the nut from within. They are easiest to peel when warm. Can cook longer to reduce nuts to almost powder and can stir into soup. Alternatively, place less cooked nuts into soup in pieces. 3 Sauté on low heat 3 tbs. high heat cooking oil. 8 Add sea salt.

We would like to thank the University of Cape Town Media and Film Department for making this possible. The premiere was an resounding success.
