http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Sunday, March 31, 2013. It seems that all my bridges have been burnt. But you say that's exactly how this grace thing works. It's not the long walk home that will change this heart. But the welcome I receive with the restart. 8220; Roll Away Your Stone. 8221;, Mumford and Sons. Every time I hear this song, I think about the Resurrection story. He is Risen Indeed! Be Blessed this Easter Season! Saturday, March 30, 2013. Oh, The Places You’ll Go! I’m...

Thursday, February 28, 2013. 8220;Then he went a short distance farther and feel on his face and prayer, “My Father, if it’s possible, take this cup of suffering away from me. However – not what I want but what you want.” (Matthew 26:39 CEB). Wednesday, February 27, 2013. 8220;But what if I was wrong? Oh what if I was wrong? But hold on to what you believe, in the light. Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: Four states in one day
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2014/07/four-states-in-one-day.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Four states in one day. Waking up in the mountains of Missouri, we were able to appreciate the beauty of where we were a little more. After breakfast, we briefly played in the Current River which ran next to the park where we stayed. Slowly but surely we are making our way eastward. And a few days from now home. Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: Last Hurrah
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2014/07/last-hurrah.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Wednesday, July 30, 2014. I will admit, I am anxious to be home. In spite of that feeling, we spent the day as if it was our first on on the trip, meaning we did whatever we wanted to do and were not worried about time. GBG trying to figure out what to order. Kids were ready for some food. One of the cool things about this part of Chattanooga is that there are dance steps on the sidewalk. So we had to try it out. GBG doing the Mambo. With two young kids?

Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: January 2014
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Friday, January 31, 2014. My take on this week. Friday, January 24, 2014. Life according to Kart. First, experience is key. I was not very good when I started to play. But mornings and afternoons, and really the entire month of January for two years allowed me to learn the ins and outs of the game. Experience is important of life. Being told about something is one thing, but experiencing them takes things to a whole new level. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: May 2013
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Thursday, May 9, 2013. Megan and I were talking the other night about this story that came out where an 8 year-old boy was suspended for acting like his pencil was a gun and making shooting noises. Google it if you haven't heard about it. Megan said, “What if that’s our son one day? For the last 7 or 8 years I have basically become a pacifist. Am I comfortable with that label? Sure, why not? It wasn’t something I taught him. It wasn’t som...After the gam...

Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: December 2013
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. No doubt 2013 had some amazing moments. We spent an extended amount of time at the Short Cabin in Colorado, we had some amazing Easter and Christmas celebrations at SAPUMC, tried some fun and creative things with the family and the church, and I'm sure I'm leaving out some pretty important 'firsts' along the way. Shortly after Thanksgiving, Megan's grandfather, Rev. Mel Short, passed away. He suffered from Parkinson's ...

Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: February 2014
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Monday, February 3, 2014. This is a piece I wrote that appears in the February 2014 edition of. The United Methodist Newspaper for the SC Conference. I waited to post it until the paper came out last week. Ministry is like riding a unicycle on a tight rope while juggling and being poked in the back. Now for the hope or at least an idea to start moving in the right direction. I'm reminded of the old question, "How do you eat an elephant?

Recreating with the Reverends Gray, plus two: On Acceptance
http://thereverendsgray.blogspot.com/2014/09/on-acceptance.html
Just a family trying to be more faithful each day. Thursday, September 18, 2014. One of our junior high Sunday school teachers came up today to prepare for the lesson they will be doing this weekend. (Side note, I am so thankful for faithful servants to serve alongside.) He wrote this on the board. The idea conveyed in the Acts passage about 'acceptance' has been slamming me in the face recently. If you have an hour to spare. It is well worth your time. Well, I'm not completely sure.
