Scents and Flavours from Africa. Flavour of the Month Jakkals Kos – Leipoldt’s Food and Wine. The Gift X Gyfu →. October 26, 2010. Contacted me to give me the good news. The French persistence and stubbornness has paid off and Mane has distilled the Commiphora wildii resin to produce the beautiful oil. Most of you know by now the wonderful story about the Himba and the Omumbiri from my previous articles. Don’t you just love stories with happy endings! The Commiphora wildii oil is available from Mane.

🍄 It is utterly forbidden to be half-hearted about gardening. You have got to love your garden whether you like it or not. - W.C. Sellar. The bliss of gardening on my little piece of African soil. A year-by-year record of the progress in my new garden. My "new" garden, started in 2004, is now just "my garden" where my chooks free-range and supply me with breakfast every day. Go out by yourself, face the wind, hold up your head and thank the Universe for this gardening year. 🌿 A few gardening thoughts.
