My background is originally fashion design with a specialty in textile design. Surface design and the love of fabric took over and I created fantastic print lines for 12 years. I approach a couch the same way I would a form in haute couture, hence the word “home couture’’ for what I do. It is a form of artistry that I love. Every fabric handles differently and every couch or chair is an adventure. The fun part is creating something that you will like and feel part of.

Couture for the home includes custom slipcovers, re-upholstery, pillows…any project involving fabrics! I can help you pick the fabric or you can provide me with the material. Here’s how it works:. 1 We meet for an overview of the project. I’ll take simple measurements to let you know how much fabric would be needed. I will assess if the piece needs any internal or external repairs other than fabric: foam, batting, sanding, filling, and staining….
