Sunday, 31 August 2008. The next morning we were up early and drove down to Pearl Harbour where we picked up a couple of strong coffees before getting on the boat across Lake Manapouri. It took about an hour to cross the lake and the sun soon disappeared behind us as we went further into the fog. Hmm this may have not been the best day to experience Doubtful Sound. Saturday, 18 October 2008. I arrived into Vancouver after a bus journey just lasting over 3 hours. The Amtrak bus was recommended to me by some people instead of the Greyhound bus and I lucked out by getting on a bus full of old couples going home in high spirits after their holiday. Much nicer!
